What is a tangram?

Invented in China approximately 200 years ago, a tangram is a two-dimensional re-arrangement puzzle created by cutting a square into seven pieces -- seven geometric shapes called "tans" (Slocum et. al. 2003)

This Spatial Planning Tangram resource is designed to support children's spatial perceptual development. It was created by an occupational therapist and includes a variety of tangram activities. It provides lots of opportunities to develop spatial awareness and support spatial planning and problem solving skills. Suitable for use from 5 years and older. Activities is graded for easy use.
